A cat,one year and four months old, male, 4.2kg. Recently the pet owner noticed that the cat was limp. X-ray examination revealed an old comminuted fracture of the femoral condyle. After CT scan, the femoral condyle was reconstructed in 3D, and it was found that the surface of the trochlear groove was comminuted (pain and claudication after repair). After communicating with pet owners, choose to use femoral condyle internal fixation and patellar groove replacement (PGR). Implant: the BlueSAO PRCL-S5mmlocking plate and size 2 trial prosthesis of the patellar groove replacement (PGR) system. The surgery went well and we look forward to an early recovery!
Thanks for Dr. Shao from Wuhan Weiwei Animal Hospital of Hubei province bringing us the case.
