A Siamese, namedYenai, 7 months old, male, 2.8Kg. The cat was referred to our hospital for surgical treatment due to a fracture of the left pelvis. The preoperative examination revealed a fracture of its iliac bone with the fracture line located on the iliac bone at the anterior edge of the acetabulum. The surgery was planned to be fixed using the BlueSAO PRCL®5mm pure titanium locking bone plate. Fixation of the fracture in this location was a challenge for the shaping of the bone plate. The old plate was pre-shaped according to the cat skeleton and autoclaved prior to surgery. During surgery, the new bone plate was shaped according to the preshaped template and then the fracture was repositioned and fixed. The surgery went smoothly and the cat was treated with hyperbaric oxygen after surgery and quickly regained mobility.
