A
Golden Retriever, 9 months old, 31Kg. The dog's femoral head was dislocated due
to hip dysplasia. The dog had bilateral hip dysplasia. After preoperative evaluation,
it was decided to perform THR surgery on the more severely dislocated side
first.
The
pet owner conducted a comprehensive understanding and comparison before the surgery,
and ultimately chose to have the dog's surgery at our hospital. Choose the
domestic biological hip replacement system from BlueSAO. According to the
preoperative planning, choose 26mm biological cup, 7# biological femoral stem,
16mm femoral head (intraoperative test +6mm), and 18mm lateral bolt.
Preoperative
X-rays:
Before surgery, x-rays were taken after the animals were sedated. Properly taking X-rays is conducive to making detailed preoperative planning.
X-rays
were taken in the following four positions: anteroposterior pelvis, lateral pelvis,
anteroposterior femur, and
lateral femur. Before surgery, select the appropriate acetabular cup according
to the anteroposterior and lateral X-rays of the pelvis, and select the
appropriate femoral stem based on the anteroposterior and lateral X-rays of the
femur. Note; rulers should be added during X-ray taking.
