A West Highland White Terrier, name: Mian huatang, 7 months old, female, 5.2 kg.
She had persistent lameness in her hind legs.
Clinical examination revealed muscle atrophy in the affected limb and
sensitivity upon palpation of the hip joint. Combined with DR imaging, she was
diagnosed with avascular necrosis of the right femoral head. The pet owner
chose the hip replacement surgery for her.
The surgical team at
Hengjia Animal Hospital used BlueSAO cemented Micro&Nano hip system for treatment. Implants used were: 2
cemented femoral stem, 12mm cemented cup and 8mm+0 femoral head. The surgery went
smoothly and recovery was ideal after the surgery！
