A Welsh Corgi dog, 3 years old, male, uncastrated,
13kg. The dog has been limp on the left hind limb for about one month. He was
diagnosed with the rupture of cranial cruciate ligament. We did a TPLO surgery
for him. During the surgery, the osteotomy was performed with a 18-gauge saw
blade, after which the cut bone was rotated by 7.5 mm as well as fixed with
BlueSAO TPLO-8.5mm L pure titanium locking bone plate. Preoperative TPA was 28 degrees, and
postoperative TPA was 5 degrees. The surgery was successful and we look forward
to a speedy recovery.
Thanks to Dr. Han from Harbin Song Yisheng Animal
Hospital of Heilongjiang province bringing us the case.
