A Japanese Spitz, 18 years old, male, 21.5kg (overweight).

Medical history of Cushing syndrome + bilateral hip degenerative lesion with severe arthritis. The dog had a long oblique fracture of the right femoral shaft, which was not a difficult surgery, but not an easy one to anesthetize + care for, and the owner came to our hospital treatment with trust. Because of his advanced age and medical history, a very detailed treatment plan was made for the entire perioperative period of the surgery and all of the surgery itself. He was fixed with BlueSAO PRCL®-9 mm pure titanium locking plate and 2 lag screws for internal fixation. The surgery was completed successfully. Best wishes to him for a long life.
