20240116- [Rupture of Cranial Cruciate Ligament] A Border Collie, Fixed with TPLO-M System Successfully

A Border Collie, nickname: Aoli’ao, 8 years old, female (unneutered), 18kg,suffered from a lameness in the right hind limb for 2 days due to sprain caused by outdoor exercise; a drawer test was performed with positive results, and DR imaging showed anterior tibial tilt, based on which the dog was diagnosed with the rupture of cranial cruciate ligament. As such, we decided to perform a TPLO surgery. Accurate preoperative planning was made by BlueSAO iBlueVetto determine the TPA angle to be 26°. We performed the surgery by using the BlueSAO TPLO-8.5mm R-type pure titanium locking plate for fixation with a 18mm saw blade and a movement distance of 6.8mm.
