A Shiba Inu, 8 years old, female (neutered), 16kg,suffered from a lameness in the left hind limb a month or so ago, and about half a month ago in the right hind limb as well. Clinical examination showed that she walked with a constrained gait, a bunny-hopping gait at a brisk walk, and a positive anterior drawer test bilaterally. She was diagnosed with the rupture of cranial cruciate ligament. As such, we decided to perform a TPLO surgery. She was fixed with BlueSAO TPLO-8.5mm pure titanium locking plate for internal osteotomy fixation. The surgery was completed successfully. Best wishes for an early recovery.
Thanks to Dr. Gao Peiyuan (Shenyang Agricultural University - Wellhope Animal Hospital) for sharing the clinical case of BlueSAO TPLO locking plate system.
