A Border Collie, 6 years old, female (neutered), 37kg.
The dog was presented with difficulty standing up and unable to move her legs, and an examination revealed limited motion in bilateral hip joints, and X-RAYs showed bilateral hip arthritis. After communicating with the owner, a THR surgery was decided to perform to restore her optimal joint movement. Intraoperatively, a φ21mm bionic cup, a φ16mm PEEK femoral head, a #5 biological femoral stem, and a M+3 femoral neck of BlueSAO Bionic Hip Joint System was adopted for the replacement to achieve a larger angle of movement. The dog is recovering well from the surgery with motor function. Best wishes for an early recovery.
Thanks to Dr. Wu Junjie (Ai - Bi Veterinary Medicine Center of Nanjing) for sharing the clinical case of BlueSAO Bionic Hip Joint System.
