A Samoyed dog, nickname: Taoqi, 10 years old, female (unneutered), 30kg,
suffered from a lameness in the left hind limb for 2 weeks; DR imaging showed anterior tibial tilt, based on which the dog was diagnosed with the rupture of cranial cruciate ligament on the left hind limb. As such, we decided to perform a TPLO surgery. Accurate preoperative planning was made by BlueSAO iBlueVet to determine the TPA angle to be 29°. We performed the surgery by using the BlueSAO TPLO-9.5mm L-type pure titanium locking plate for treatment with a 21mm saw blade and a movement distance of 8.5mm. The surgery was completed successfully. Best wishes for an early recovery.
Thanks to Dr. Chi Xinyu (Northeastern Agricultural University Veterinary Teaching Hospital) for sharing the clinical case of BlueSAO TPLO locking plate system.
