THR Surgery of Femoral Neck Fracture in a Maine Coon Cat by Director Niu Jinbo from Jingrui (Beijing) Veterinary Hospital and Henuan (Beijing) Veterinary Hospital
A maine coon cat, 2 years old, male, 8.5kg, suffered a fracture of the femoral neck metaphysis in the right hind limb due to carelessness and was unable to bear weight. After a detailed preoperative planning and preparation, we decided to perform a THR surgery.Accurate preoperative planning was made by BlueSAO iBlueVet. We did the THR surgery by using a φ12mm cup, a #3 stem, and a φ8mm (+2) head of BlueSAO Micro & Nano Hip Replacement System for replacement. The cat is recovering well from the surgery.
