A maine coon cat, 3 years old, male, 4.5kg,underwent a femoral head resection for a femoral neck fracture at another hospital a year ago. After the operation, the cat was unable to bear weight well and his muscles were slightly atrophied. This year, the cat suddenly developed lameness in his left hind limb. Examination and diagnosis revealed slipped capital femoral metaphysis, so the cat’s owner opted for a THR surgery. Intraoperatively, we adopted a φ13mm PEEK cemented acetabular cup, a φ10mm+0 femoral head, and a #3 stem of BlueSAO Micro & Nano Bionic Hip Replacement Systemfor replacement.
