A Welsh Corgi dog, nickname: Mantou, 5 years and 3 months old, male, 11kg,suffered from femoral head dislocation of the left hind limb and lameness due to hip dysplasia, and X-ray was taken to confirm the diagnosis of femoral head dislocation of the left hind limb. After communicating with the owner, a consensus was reached and the decision was made to perform a THR surgery for the future quality of life and welfare of the dog.

A detailed surgical plan was developed for this dog by using BlueSAO iBlueVet. Intraoperatively, we adopted a φ16mm cup, a #3 stem and a φ8mm (+2) head of BlueSAO Biological Hip Replacement System for replacement, and φ 8mm(+0) and φ 8mm(+4) heads were prepared on stand to ensure the smooth progress of the surgery. The surgery was performed according to the developed surgical plan. The dog is recovering well from the surgery. Best wishes for an early recovery.

Thanks to Dr. Wang Tao (Chengdu Bandao Pet Hospital) for sharing the clinical case of BlueSAO Hip Replacement System.
