A Clinical Case Sharing of BlueSAO Micro & Nano Bionic Hip Replacement System in Maine Coon Cat — Dr. Li Yongqi from Tianjin Huating Pet Hospital
A Maine Coon cat, 18 months old, male, 6.3kg (underweight),
suffered from an old fracture of bilateral femoral neck. As such, we decided to perform a THR surgery. Accurate preoperative planning was made by BlueSAO iBlueVet. We did the THR surgery by using a φ13mm PEEK cemented acetabular cup, a φ10mm+0 femoral head, and a #3 stem of BlueSAO Micro & Nano Bionic Hip Replacement Systemfor replacement. The surgery was completed successfully. Immediate postoperative luxation testing showed stable results, and the dog is recovering quickly due to the minimal damage from this surgery.
