A poodle, 5 years old, female, 4.9kg,was referred to us as a case of rupture of cranial cruciate ligament due to failure of artificial ligament fixation in other hospitals, and she was seen for lameness in the left limb at this visit, which was diagnosed as the rupture of cranial cruciate ligament according to the x-ray and drawer test. As such, we decided to perform a TPLO surgery. She was removed the artificial ligament intraoperatively, and fixed with BlueSAO TPLO-5.5mm L-type pure titanium locking plate for internal fixation. The postoperative tibial thrust test was negative. Best wishes for an early recovery.
Thanks to Dr. Han Cheng (Technical Department of Beijing Quanxinquanyi Animal Hospital) for sharing the clinical case of BlueSAO TPLO locking plate system.
