An Alaskan malamute, nickname: Salt, 2 years old, female, 34kg.
The dog was diagnosed with bilateral hip dysplasia after the owner noticed an abnormal gait and sought medical attention. X-ray examination confirmed the condition, and the owner agreed to proceed with THR. Given the severity of the right hip dysplasia, we decided to perform the THR surgery on the right side first.
This hip replacement surgery was performed by Dr. Ivan Satriawan from Indonesia in collaboration with Dr. Zhou Luoping from Shanghai Baichou Animal Hospital, China.
Intraoperatively, a φ25mm bionic cup, a φ20mm PEEK femoral head, a #8 biological stem, and an M+3 femoral neck of BlueSAO Bionic Hip Joint System were adopted for replacement. The surgery was completed successfully. Best wishes for an early recovery.
