A Chinese rural dog, nickname: Huanghuang, 4 years old, female (neutered), 6kg.

The ‌right hind limb‌ has recently exhibited ‌single-leg hopping during exercise‌. With a ‌history of medial patellar luxation‌, ‌patellar groove deepening surgery was performed ‌one year ago‌. Physical examination of the ‌right hind limb knee joint‌ confirmed ‌grade III patellar luxation‌. Preoperatively, precise surgical planning was performed using BlueSAO iBlueVet software.The evaluation indicated that the tibial internal rotation was less than 20°‌. A patellar groove deepening + TTTT surgery is planned to address the recurrent patellar luxation. Due to the ‌previous patellar groove deepening‌ surgery performed ‌one year ago‌, PGR was preoperatively planned.

Intraoperatively, ‌severe wear of the patella was found, and an ‌artificial patella was placed ‌as preoperatively planned‌. The surgery was performed by using PGR-4# prosthesis of BlueSAO PGR system for replacement. The surgery was completed successfully. Best wishes for an early recovery.
