Short-haired cat, nickname: Kittie, 3 years and 5 months old, male, weight 4.75Kg.
Due to traumatic dislocation of the left hip joint, Kittie was initially fixed with round ligament reconstruction technology in December 2024. Unfortunately, the fixation failed and the hipluxated again two months later. Due to the re-luxation of the left hip joint, Kittie decided to undergo hip replacement in June 2025.
Preoperatively, the BlueSAOiBlueVet software was used for precise surgical planning. During the operation, the BlueSAO Micro Bionic CementedHip Joint System was used for replacement. The implant selections were: 11 mm PEEK Cemented Acetabular Cup, 8mm+0 Femoral Head, #2 Cemented Femoral Stem. The operation was successfully completed, and the postoperative recovery effect was particularly good! Kittie was able to stand and walk 1 day after the operation, and I hope he will recover soon!
"First do no harm" is one of the core principles of medical ethics, emphasizing that medical behavior should give priority to avoiding physical and mental harm to patients. A good surgical process must cause less damage to the body of small animals.
There are always specific/special cases, but we must never use specific/special cases as universal treatment principles. We pursue clean total hips, pursue all minimally damaging surgeries, and strive for painless joints for small animals!
BlueSAO Hip Replacement System: Mainstream forged handle technology in human medicine, not 3D printed handle! Stands the test of time, safer and more reliable!
Special thanks to Dr. Lee Yew Hong from Malaysia for sharing clinical cases of BlueSAO Micro Bionic CementedHip System!
