20190616 -【Fracture of distal femur】A Border Collie, fixed with PRCL-L system successfully
A Border Collie, 9 months old, male, 18kg, fell off the bicycle six days ago, caused a distal femoral fracture and growth plate damaged. Another hospital did external fixation and manual reduction, but all failed. So we did internal fixation for his femur by using the BlueSAO PRCL-L10mm locking plate＋φ2.5mm intramedullary pin. During the surgery, after the reduction, the pin was inserted from the femoral condyle in the reverse direction. After adjusting the angle, we used the BlueSAO locking plate to increase the strength. On the second day after surgery, the affected limb regained some function.
