Breed: Shiba Inu, weight: 10.4kg, age: 9m, gender:
male
When this Shiba Inu was about six months old, it was
found to have poor hip joint development and a semi-dislocated right femoral
head. The round ligaments of Shiba Inu and Akita dogs are naturally loose,
which is one of the reasons why they have a high incidence of hip dysplasia. A
few months later, the dog had mild lameness in its right hind leg. Examination
revealed that the right femoral head was completely dislocated with
accompanying arthritis. The pet owner promptly chose BlueSAO small bone cement
hip replacement system for the dog's hip replacement. After calibrating according to the Marker on BlueSAO
iBlueVet planning software, select the appropriate femoral stem prosthesis and
acetabular cup prosthesis. Preoperative planning uses a #3L cemented femoral
stem, 16mm cemented cup, and spare 10mm femoral head prostheses with +0, +2,
and +4 sizes. The final femoral head prosthesis is determined after testing
with the femoral head prosthesis model during surgery.
