A Pomeranian dognamed Dongdong, 2.5kg, suffered from a tibial fracture. The first and second repairing surgeries were both failed. In the third surgery, we decided to repair it by using the BlueSAO HyProtect-PRCL-S antimicrobial plasma coating locking plate to control the infection. The antimicrobial plasma coatings come from German Bio-Gate company. This antimicrobial plasma coating can release Ag+( silver ion) in body more than 100 days and kill 99.999% of bacteria for the fractures with high risk of infection(repairing of infectious fracture, open fracture, etc.).
