A Pomeranian mix, 3.6 years old, female, 6kg,
suffered from a lameness in the right hind limb for 10 days, and a drawer test was performed with positive results. DR imaging showed significant anterior tibial tilt and mildly elevated intra-articular density in the knee, which was diagnosed as the rupture of cranial cruciate ligament of the right hind limb. As such, we decided to perform a TPLO surgery. Accurate preoperative planning was made by BlueSAO iBlueVet with the TPA angle of 22°. Intraoperatively, the dog was fixed with BlueSAO TPLO-5.5mm R-type pure titanium locking plate, and a 12mm saw blade was applied with a movement distance of 3.4mm. The surgery was completed successfully. Best wishes for an early recovery.
Thanks to Dr. Chi Xinyu (Northeastern Agricultural University Veterinary Teaching Hospital) for sharing the clinical case of BlueSAO TPLO locking plate system.
