A labrador retriever, 5 years old, female, 34kg,developed arthritis three or four years ago as a result of intermittent lameness, the cause of which was not found in several hospitals. Two years ago, he was examined in our hospital and diagnosed with the rupture of cranial cruciate ligament, and recovered well after surgery. However, in October this year, it was found that she had a lameness in her left limb. Examination revealed arthritic hyperplasia of her stifle joint. As such, it was decided to apply BlueSAO PGR (Patellar Groove Replacement) System for the surgery. The artificial PGR technique (PGR model 8) was adopted intraoperatively for replacement. The surgery was completed successfully, and the dog can walk on the second day postoperatively. Best wishes for an early recovery.
Thanks to Dr. Liu Haoqi (Dongguan Jiguang Pet Hospital) for sharing the clinical case of BlueSAO PGR system.
