Case 249: THR Surgery of Femoral Head Fracture in an American Shorthair Cat — Dr. Li Bo from Chongqing Taihe Animal Hospital
An American shorthair cat, 2 years old, male(castrated), 6.5kg, suffered from fracture of the right femoral head. As such, we decided to perform a THR surgery. Accurate surgical planning was made by BlueSAO iBlueVet, the orthopedic planning software. We adopted a φ12mm acetabular cup, a #3 stem, and a φ8(+0)mm femur head of BlueSAO Micro & Nano Hip Replacement System for replacement. The cat is recovering well from the surgery.
