Dr. Tetsuaki Koreeda is a world-renowned veterinary orthopedic surgeon, with excellent medical skills. He is known as Dr. Aki because of his easy-going nature. Today, Dr. Aki presents a clinical case sharing of BlueSAO Bionic Hip Replacement in a Siberian husky.

A Siberian husky, 9 months old, male, 21.5kg, was diagnosed as hip dysplasia and transferred to the pet hospital where Dr. Aki worked from Fukuyama, Hiroshima. Due to the significant atrophy on its left side, Dr. Aki decided to perform THR for its left leg first. Accurate preoperative planning was made by BlueSAO iBlueVet. We did the THR surgery by using a φ23mm bionic acetabular cup, a φ18mm PEEK femoral head, a #7 biological stem, an M+0 femoral neck, and a φ18mm cortical bone side bolt of BlueSAO Bionic Hip Joint System for replacement. The dog is recovering well from the surgery and in normal condition. Best wishes for an early recovery.

BlueSAO Hip Replacement System: Non-3D Printed Stem of Mainstream Forging Stem Process! All implants like the acetabular cup, femoral head, femoral neck, and lateral bolt are not 3D printed and have stood the test of time to be safer and more reliable!

Thanks to Dr. Tetsuaki Koreeda from Japan for sharing the clinical case of BlueSAO Bionic Hip Joint System!
