A labrador retriever, nickname: Oliver, 8 years old, female, 43kg, suffered from hip dysplasia with significant subluxation of the right leg, resulting in poor weight-bearing and significant loss of femoral muscle. As such, we decided to perform a THR surgery. Accurate preoperative planning was made by BlueSAO iBlueVet. We did the THR surgery by using a φ27mm bionic acetabular cup, a φ22mm PEEK femoral head, a #7 biological stem, an M+0 femoral neck, and a φ22mm cortical bone side bolt of BlueSAO Bionic Hip Joint System for replacement.

The postoperative imaging revealed the basic reasonable abduction angle of the acetabular cup, with room for improvement of ante-tilt angle, basic satisfactory placement of acetabular cup, reasonable model of the femoral stem, and rapid postoperative recovery on weight bearing. The dog is in normal condition. Thanks for the trust of the dog owner, and we also wish Oliver an early recovery.

BlueSAO Hip Replacement System: Non-3D Printed Stem of Mainstream Forging Stem Process! All implants like the acetabular cup, femoral head, femoral neck, and lateral bolt are not 3D printed and have stood the test of time to be safer and more reliable!

Thanks to Dr. Wang Weitao (Beijing Yuepet Animal Hospital) for sharing the case of BlueSAO Bionic Hip Joint System.
