A Siberian husky, 5 years old, female, 26kg,underwent a TPLO surgery in early 2024 due to the rupture of left cranial cruciate ligament. The dog was found to have progressive lameness of the right hind limb in October 2024, and was brought to our hospital after the owner observed her for 2 months without improvement. Examination showed partial rupture of bilateral cranial cruciate ligament and degenerative arthritis, and a decision was made to perform a TPLO surgery.
Accurate preoperative planning was made by BlueSAO iBlueVet, and the dog's ligament was internally fixed with BlueSAO TPLO-8.5mm R-type pure titanium locking plate. The surgery was completed successfully, and the dog was picked up for home care after the surgery. Best wishes for an early recovery.
Thanks to Dr. Yuan Shuai (Chongqing Rufei Animal Hospital) for sharing the clinical case of BlueSAO TPLO locking plate system.
