A border collie, 4 years old, male, 28kg,suffered from talus, calcaneus, and tarsal luxation with arthritis resulting in lameness. As such, we decided to perform the internal fixation surgery on this dog by using the BlueSAO PRCL®-9mm pure titanium locking plate for partial fusion of the tarsal joint, and BlueSAO's S-VETOSS artificial bone imported from Canada was applied at the fracture site to stimulate bone formation and healing. The surgery was completed successfully, and the dog was able to lift the affected leg during urination on the first postoperative day. The dog is recovering quickly thanks to the minimal damage from this surgery.

Thanks toDr. Li Yongqi (Tianjin Xiongmao Pet Hospital) for sharing the clinical case of S-VETOSS artificial bone and PRCL® locking plate system.
