A shiba inu, 6 years old, female (unneutered), 9.5kg,who had underwent a TPLO surgery on the left hind limb one month ago, now presented with right hind limb lameness. DR revealed significant anterior tibial tilt in the right hind limb, confirming the rupture of cranial cruciate ligament. As such, we decided to perform a TPLO surgery. Preoperative measurement of the right hind limb TPA was 34°. Intraoperatively, a 15 mm saw blade was used to achieve a translation of 7.5 mm, and the BlueSAO TPLO-6.5mm L-type pure titanium locking plate was used for internal fixation. The surgery was completed successfully. Best wishes for an early recovery.
Thanks to Dr. Chi Xinyu (Northeastern Agricultural University Veterinary Teaching Hospital) for sharing the clinical case of BlueSAO TPLO locking plate system.
