The dog was paralyzed for more than half a year, was unable to stand and walk, and sometimes soiled itself with urine and feces. The dog was brought by his owner to several hospitals and finally to Tianjin Xiongmao Huating PetHospital for consultation. He was diagnosed with endocrine disease, bilateral lateral patellar luxation, bilateral medial collateral ligament rupture of knee joint, bilateral rupture of posterior cruciate ligament, severe knee osteoarthritis, joint effusion, and extreme joint capsule laxity. As such, we decided to perform the PGR surgery on this dog.

The surgery was performed by using PGR-2.5# prosthesis of BlueSAO PGR system for replacement on his right leg, and knee joint fusion was performed on his left hip at the same time. The surgery was completed successfully. The dog is recovering quickly thanks to the minimal damage from this surgery. A six-week postoperative reexamination showed well bone ingrowth.
