A golden retriever, nickname: Mangzhong, 10 months old, male, 23kg.

According to his owner, the dog had difficulty getting up and walking with a lameness on the left side. Clinical examination revealed clicking on motion of the left hip joint, muscle atrophy on the left side, and no knee or tarsal joint abnormalities. DR suggested bilateral hip dysplasia, which was more severe on the left hip joint. Based on this, we decided to perform a THR surgery on this dog.

The THR surgery was performed by Dr. Du Lang and Dr. Li Wei from Kunming RINGPAI Hengjia Pet Hospital. Intraoperatively, a φ23mm bionic cup, a φ18mm PEEK femoral head, a #8 biological stem, an M+0 femoral neck, and a φ20mm cortical bone side bolt of BlueSAO Bionic Hip Joint System were adopted for replacement. The surgery was completed successfully. The dog recovers well from the surgery.
