A Shiba Inu, nickname: Xuegao, 1.5 years old, female, 9kg,suffered from dorsal luxation of femoral head and medial patellar luxation due to bilateral hip dysplasia. Xuegao underwent a left hip replacement at the end of December 2024 and had a good postoperative recovery.
This time, we performed the right hip replacement on Xuegao. Intraoperatively, we adopted a φ15mm PEEK cemented acetabular cup, a φ12mm+0 femoral head, and a #2.5 stem of BlueSAO Micro & Nano Bionic Hip Replacement Systemfor replacement.
The surgery was completed successfully, and Xuegao could walk freely 12 hours after the surgery. Best wishes for an early recovery.
