A golden retriever, nickname: Frodo, 3 years and 7 months old, male, 47.15kg,suffered from severe left hip dysplasia. As such, we decided to perform a left hip replacement surgery on this dog. Accurate preoperative planning was made by BlueSAO iBlueVet. We did the surgery by using a φ25mm bionic cup, a φ20mm PEEK femoral head, a #7 biological femoral stem, and an M+3 femoral neck of BlueSAO Bionic Hip Joint System for replacement. The surgery was completed successfully. The dog recovers exceptionally well from the surgery. Just 36 hours after the surgery, Frodo was able to walk freely and go for a stroll.
